Jane Wilson

paintings from my shed

The maps, and other ephemera, I use in my art have an inherent history which makes a powerful starting point that can be read at many different levels. My primary focus in my Cartography paintings is to celebrate the wildlife and ecology that exists, or used to exist, within the countries or regions depicted and to promote awareness of the importance of conservation where I can.
My subjects range from humble urban songbirds to majestic African mammals, all equally beautiful and inspiring.

Please contact me using the contact page if you have any queries or are interested in a commissioned piece featuring a special location.
